We had a Case 870 for ten years from new to 4000 hours. Like said before it was nicely balanced as far as weight and horsepower. After a year or so,we turned the horsepower up to about 110 horsepower. It held up well all things considered. Replaced one hydraulic pump and rebuilt the powershift at 3800 hours. Rebuild was done in our shop. The pump was quite reason, but the powershift kit was about $1500 if I remember right. The one thing I didn't particularly care for was the powershift. You alway had to start out in first range and shift up. It was good in the field but not to smooth on the road.
