I had a 2470- 4wd for over ten years. Biggest, almost only issue was engine problems, including a bad overhaul. Installed an 855 Cummins in it, and it"s still running fine for the current owner. One issue I did not have, but was widely reported, was that the 70 series had a problem with the pto starting up by itself. It is hydraulically controlled. So when unplugging the chopper, I would disengage the chopper gearbox. Other option is to let the engine cool and shut it off. Frankly, I"d look to Ollie or White if I was to get away from JD and AC.
