Go to a small, local electric motor shop, and ask if they have Glyptal (used to be made by GE, but may not be now)or it's equivalent, or ask what they use inside gearboxes when they rebuild them. We always used something in industrial gearboxes when we rebuilt them. It seals the casting, makes the oil flow smoother, and also shows up cracks quickly.
