Been a pack rat all my life as well. When I was growing up I was always building something. Mostly out of junk. But I always came up short on one little something to finish it or make it work better. Now years later I see that piece of junk and save it thinking I might get back to building that project again. But I can't remember what project it was. Wrote this little poem this past summer. Nuts and Bolts, a Dilemma Nuts, Bolts and Gadgets, I have so many. Big ones, and little ones, and some kinda skinny. All sorted and packed in jars on the shelves. And many just lying there on the tables by themselves. This and that taken through methodological extractions from worn out junks and tossed out contraptions. Hate to discard them. Cause some day I'll use them. For new projects and mending my dilapidating systems. These come in handy for projects and chores. But ALWAYS with additionals bought from the stores. Oh I have culled them, restacked them, and gleaned them. And yielded to my wife to finally clean them.(out) But only into the next week do I sadly remember. That I threw out that one just exact needed member.
