Unless they are talking about you taking over a retiring agent"s book of business, captive company agency recruits are a dime a dozen. The company will probably just throw you out there to the wolves to sink or swim. If you dont produce, they will either wait for you to quit or fire you and move on to the next candidate.
You would be a lot better off to join an "Independent Agency" if you are starting from scratch. Then at least you have multiple market"s products and pricing to work with.
