One of the regulars who post on here is a peace officer......sheriff's deputy, I think. I spent enough time as a military po-leeceman to know I would never want to do it as a career; there's not enough money for me to have been a small town cop; can you say BOREDOM??? Have always heard that being a city cop is 98% boredom and 2% terror. If I were going into the field, it would be as a deputy sheriff. There was a big news item a few years ago about a fellow who met all the qualifications for a major city police officer, but they refused to hire him..........said he was too intelligent and would quickly become bored and quit.
