Beans must dry faster down there in Ioway. I ran thru 30 acres late Sunday. They ran 15. Had three inches of snow yesterday now rain is forecast for the next three days. Then sunny weekend then rain again next week. I have not harvested beans under 14% this year. Up here there is maybe 10% of beans out. Many people getting very anxious. I was testing corn Friday and the driest I found was 28%. That was 92 day corn planted April 28. Heck there is still a lot of people that have not chopped yet because the moisture is still too high for stave silos. Unless we get a 'Indian Summer' its going to be a late drawn out harvest. This is definitely a year to forget! Been battling mother nature from the start and she hasn't given a break yet.
