Everyting was white here saturday morning and at 7am we had 32 degrees. We have one field of corn that werent able to get in, because of a freak thunderstorm that only affected a very small area, untill June 7. I dont know what will happen to it. It is not mature or black layer as we call it. It doesnt show much sign of any damage right now but time will tell. We have one small field of beans that turned black and are hurt. This being said there are hundreds of acres of soybeans that were damaged in the area. The real extent wont be known for a few weeks. So our damage is probably much less than most farmers. Everyones biggest problem/concern now is the wet/cool weather. Crops arent drying and the ground is getting wetter. Going to pick corn again tomorrow, its to wet, probably near 30% but we have to start covering some ground. This is going to be a long haul. bill
