What are your experiences with soybeans being frosted on while immature?
My double cropped soybeans are R-7 stage, defined as one normal pod on the main stem has reached its mature pod color. 50% of the leaves are yellow at this stage. Physiological maturity.
They have not been frosted on yet. They are not really calling for frost in this area, and the long range forcast is calling for nice weather, with high in the 60's next week. Our low was 34 last week. Then of course there was the 8-10" of rain for 3 days.
The beans in the pods are still what I would call "butter beans", green and soft, with only a tinge of yellow starting now and then.
They are potentially 35 bu soybeans.
Global warming didn't come to this part of MO. Nothing grew right this season but the cockleburs.
