Old, I had a Chevy Luv and it would do what you describe when the head gasket would start leaking. I actually had 2 of them. A really rusty 81 that ran like a new one and a 79 4X4 that burned oil. I put rings, rods, mains, and ground the valves on the 81 motor and put 250K on it. Sold it to a friend and he's still driving it. I know I have a n.o.s. cam for the 1.9L Isuzu and a gasket set that I'm pretty sure is only missing the head gasket. I'll have to look, but I think I have some other n.o.s. engine parts for the 1.9L engine. If you're interested, email me. They've been doing nothing but gathering dust here.
