It never ran very low on coolant because as soon as I noticed no heat I would stop and pour the coolant from the over flow back in and then top off if needed with it running. Now as far as that 60 sec. running time and over heating I don't believe that and run engines all the time for 2 or 3 minutes and they do not over heat. Yes they get hot but not to the point they are over heated.. I do it when getting and old tractor up and running to help free up sticking rings but that is another story.
