What'd you use for the base paint? Hardened enamel or urethane should be OK but some enamels if un-hardened will crinkle up from the solvents in some clear coats. Don't ask how I know! Ask a paint expert who knows his stuff just to be sure the clear is compatible.
It's very discouraging to destroy a really nice paint job that you've spent a lot of time on to get just right. BTDT!!!!!!
I just got done stripping and sanding the paint I had just sprayed on a walk-in door to my shop cause I was out of the right enamel thinner so I used lacquor thinner instead. The first coat looked great- the second coat crinkeled up. This was just a simple flat door so I wasn't set back much, but it's an example of how things can go wrong so easily. Imagine this happening to a whole tractor!Jim
