: HELP !!! I HAVE A FORD 9N THAT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE CLUTCH . IT HAS A HABIT OF STICKING IN GEAR. IF I DON'T PUT A BLOCK HOLDING THE CLUTCH IN , IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET THE CLUTCH TO DISENGAGE. SOMETIMES DAYS.
: DO I NEED A NEW CLUTCH? IF SO, HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO PAY? IS IT A JOB FOR A DO IT YOURSELFER? ANY HELP OR IDEAS ARE APPRECIATED.

I had the same problem on my Chevy 10 wheeler, after wintering in the pole barn.....liked to never got it to disengage...figured it drew moisture and rusted a bit....had noticed that the engine and metal parts of the truck sweated when the weather warmed up considerably.....
after noticing this, I drove the truck up on 2X10s, and this stopped the sweating problem...never had any more clutch problems.....so might try that.....if you've notice it having sweat problems like I had......
