I have had a 1947 Ford 2N that I bought off ytmag about 4 years ago and I love the little tractor - it is my only tractor(would like to have a JD LA, but the wife is not excited about it). I have taken very good care of it and fix everything as I experience a problem. Trouble is, I am having an issue with the charging system and I am doing everything I thought would help - but not getting the result I would like(like the battery getting charged). Ok - so my battery dies and I see that my altimeter is showing 0 Amps while I am running, so I turn on my lights. It drops to -10, so I think it the meter is good. I change the 6V generator (spend the most to fix the problem - right???) and I am still at the same problem. So I replace the cutout regulator (another $16) and I am still sitting with with 0 Amps and what I think is no charge. I am by far....not the smartest guy that has ever posted on ytmag - not even close! But boys!( and you smart women who love tractors) what is going on here! Have I dropped one too many wrenched on my head? I appreciate your help - Mike in Michigan
