The most distressing things are; the knee jerk reactions of the citizens, based upon the half truths/misinformation leaked to the public, that they/we swallow whole. The big picture generally has a third dimension we cannot see.
Crooked politicians abound, here, there and everywhere. Lots of people become rich Daddy Warbucks whenever there is a war. And, there is always a war someplace!
I'll never forget seeing a photo of Moammar Khadaffi, sitting on a green export model Massey Ferguson. This must have ten or fifteen years ago. Regardless of all the saber rattling going on over the Lockerbie bombing, the terrorist bombing in Beirut and so forth....ag sales to Libya went on as usual.
