I was working on a roof auger on a bin today. The steel shaft inside the auger broke loose from the weld and I need to take it apart and reweld it. The aluminum pulley is stuck tight on the shaft. I know that some kind of reaction happens between steel and aluminum and the 2 materials stick together. Any ideas how to get the pulley off? Can I heat the shaft next to the pulley to break it loose? Can you heat the pulley? How can I get the pulley off and save it? Chris
