Sad to hear. It's not time for us to start filling our silo yet, but we hope to be started in another 2 weeks. With any luck we'll get the engine back for our 1855 in the next week so I can work on putting that back in, and then we can get going on corn.
We borrow the neighbor's chopper boxes almost every year when chopping so we have 4 to fill instead of 2. We've replaced more than 1 sheild on their wagons over the years. What gets me, is how are these wagons missing their sheilds in the 1st place? We have had older wagons that still have perfectly fine metal sheilds, and they've always had their originals.
I always try to make sure that things like that have working sheilds.
