There are a lot of factors that help make up that equation. Some of those being air pressure, gripping ability of the tire, balance and weight of the tractor, and finally the good one, pull on the motor. A few RPM on a tractor usually doesn't mean much, but it could put your motor in a different power band or torque range. On different tracks that could mean one size tire would spin where another wouldn't. If we could get rid of those little gremlins who apply brakes on the sled in the middle of a run that would help. I've never seen them but I have felt them.
