The WC Allis had an auxilary gearbox that replaced the axle disconnect for the power lift. It was supplyed as an overdrive or as an underdrive. They seem quite scarce and there seems to be little to no information available on them. I think no printed information on them has survived. They were definatly were made, but by who? I have been told AC made them, but have no definate proof as to where they came from. They seem to look like they came from the AC plant. I think they would have had an aluminum houseing if they were aftermarket items. Have been trying to find posative proof of where they came from for years but have had no luck yet.
