Karl, I work on cars 6 days a week, most of the time I use the white cream hand cleaners found at auto parts stores, the ones with pumice in them. For heavy grease, or undercoat, I clean my hands first with new motor oil, or automatic transmission fluid, rub it in good and scrub with a clean shop rag, it is the only thing that will remove deep stains. The scrubbing part is okay once in awhile, but dishwashing detergent on a daily basis will dry and crack the hands causing the cracks in the skin to deepen and make it even harder to get them clean looking, One good thing to try is to put on hand lotion before working on something nasty, it will fill those deep cracks, and put it around the nails, makes clean up a heckuva lot easier. In the winter time, have to use hand lotion a lot, as solvent dries the skin and makes the knuckles bleed. John
