Hi Truck, I am glad you got the problem partially solved. Now lets get it fixed. Is the valve in your heater hose vaccum activated? if so you probably have a slight vacuum leak somewhere that is lettingthe valve close partially when the engine idles,or decelerates. A simple if the problem is vacuum related is to take the valve out and use a small pipe nipple in the winter. The only drawback is you cant regulate how hot the inside of the truck gets, other than slowing the fan, or cracking a window.
