Mainly because I figure I was born 40 years too late :-) I'm fascinated by the engineering of the teens, twenties and thirties. I like to imagine what it would have been like to take delivery of a brand new '24 Cletrac, or a '35 Centaur, and then spend the long hours in the seat making it pay. Then there's the satisfaction of hearing an engine start for the first time after being silent for years.
