Well the rain has finally stopped so we are trying to do many things all at once. The crops are way behing because of the rain and cool weather. We should be starting harvest but it could easily be three weeks or more before we turn a wheel. A hundred odd jobs have been pushed back because of the weather and the chain reaction it caused. So far behind that some projects will be put off till another year. None the less, the work contiues.

Who is that helping me bale hay?

When everything is going good this is a enjoyable job but this baler has tested my patience this year.

Todays most important job. Two little patches of hay to make into sqaures. Finished up just before 7 and got to the house shortly after 8 tonight after putting things away. Lots of things still to do before we get into harvest. Looks like it could be a long slow late fall and I am tired before we even get started. Oh well, farming is a good life but it aint always easy.
