We live just a few miles from a large natural gas pumping station. They run large v-8 engines on guess what... NATURAL GAS! Propane, Methane, all similar, and can be used to power large and small generating facilities...
Plant I'm talking about has a number of engines, with cylinders so large a man can stand in them. 4 0f the 8 cylinders produce power, the others are used as compressors.
