Sand Blasting-101 (Frugal-Cheap-Whatever)

My son, who is restoring a Farmall this winter, checked with a couple of sandblasting shops to clean the parts that could be removed from the tractor and hauled to the sandblaster. He found them to be somewhat expensive. He's pretty resourceful, so when passing by a monument engraving company, and knowing that they use sandblasting equipment, he stopped by and inquired about their prices for sandblasting tractor parts. Since the snow was flying, and they weren't too busy, they gave him a price that was roughly 40 % of the sandblaster shop price. They did a beautiful job, quickly, and he saved a bundle of money. He says the parts look almost like they are chrome plated. A buck saved is better than a buck spent!
