Joe, First off, they are made in China and finish assembled in Western NY. The castings look rough and crude, usually there is oil sitting around on the engine, and I know of a least 2 people who are currently trying to get waranty work done and are not succesful. A dealer in our area dropped McConnel over this. These are the same people(McConnel) who brought all those gray market Kubotas over from Asia and sold them as reqular Kubotas. Your JD dealer should be able to find you a suitable used tractor in that price range, or if you want new and are considering Off Brands because of price, try Kioti which is a Korean built old technology Kubota so you know that the design is good, or Long LandTrac series, they have a Mitsubishi dsl engine and like Kioti seem to be a well built if not technologically advanced tractor. Maybe try another dealer, why any JD dealer would associate himself with those tractors is beyond me! PETE
