They may be cheaper, and maybe even more "macho", BUT they absolutely won't be faster!! AND, NO WAY better!!
To make a good seed bed with a plow and disc, it will take several trips over the field, with my Rotovator, one trip over last years garden, or two trips over new ground does the trick! AND, it does it with out all the compaction of the other tools.
One last point, Rotovated ground warms up much faster in the spring to aid germation.
The above reasons, are why i get paid to custom Rotovate fields that are owned by veggie farmers with all those "other" tools!
