Here's a pic of the tandem under a trailer my son built. I don't remember what the spread distance is, but I think it is either a 6' or 8' spread axle model. No matter how heavy you load it the trailer still tracks good and does'nt wallow or wobble around in the road or in curves at any speed. He put it on beam type suspension instead of springs, then put a pancake airbag and a shock absorber on each end of the beams. It pulls and rides like a dream plus when you are loaded and need to make a sharp corner you can pick up the front axle about 6" off the ground by just flipping one switch. When it's empty you can leave the axle off the ground all the time if you want to save tire wear.
