I have 100 to 200 gallons of diesel leftover every year. I never add anything to it. I put it in the tractor and it runs good. I have never had a problem with it. I had a little John Deere 1020 that sat for 10 year full of diesel. I put a battery in it and it started right up. It ran with no problems. Perhaps I am just lucky, but that has been my experience with storing diesel. Best of Luck, Bob
