Here is what the tractor looked like before painting. It was painted with 10 spray cans and came out good. I am not saying it is better but it is plenty good enough for me. Mosy people that see it think it was done with a spray gun.
There is about 5 coats on the tin work. I know a spray gun job is better but I can never get one set right. I have painted 4 tractors with the spray cans and will do another this winter. First one was 5 years ago and still looks good.

Here is the same tractor 6 months after painting. I know it's not a close up but I see no streaks in it from the rattle cans. So if you want to use spray cans go for it dave.
