The "fan spray" of the spray can's is so narrow you will see streaks in larger parts like fenders or hoods due to the fact as you start spraying the paint is already flash drying by the time you get to the other side of the fender and it does not blend together as well. Spray can's are really only good for small parts like brackets.
If you are not familiar with spraying with a gun have a friend come over and spray it.
A friend got nervous at the last moment and had a guy come out from a local body shop to paint his tractor. Guy charged him something like $200 in labor to spray the whole tractor. Of course my friend did all the prep work, masking etc. and supplied all the equipment. It was just a single stage paint.
