not knowing much I shouldn't comment, but hey you asked! W/ the axles as far back as you described I think you are carrying 70-80 % of the load wieght on the truck and I think idealy you would want a 60-40 split w a maximum of 40% load carried on the truck. If I am completely wrong please tell me as I have an 18' tandem and a 24' tri ax that are being prepped for next summer. Both are pintle hooks for light local hauling. Mike
