I do not know anything about the Tom Tom because I have a Garmin but try this and see if it works with yours.
Put your destination in and let it calculate a route. Look at the route and see if it takes you threw the pass you would like to go. If not put in another stop. Since I would not know a address of the pass I would go to browse map; it will bring up a map and I can select the hwy right where it goes threw the pass. Once I select it the machine will ask me if I want to continue to my final destnation by way of this hwy threw the pass. Once I select yes it will figure a route from me to the pass I selected and then from the pass to my destination.
