It really depends on how wide the tiller is, and what kind of soil you have. The ideal tractor, has live power, and travels under one mile per hour at PTO speed in the lowest gear, and has at least enough HP, to power the tiller in all conditions. The ideal tiller, is at least as wide as your tractor, and is built like a TANK, to not self destruct when you hit rocks and other trash in the ground. (and you will!!) I do custom Rotovateing, (tilling) and i prefer the Howard brand. Robert
