Aloha, I remember in the old days, the slop man used to come every Saturday to collect the garbage. We used to keep it in a 5 gallon metal can with a cover and he would empty it into a 55 gal drum on his truck. He washed out the 5 gal can and replaced it for the next time. He cooked the slop and then fed it to his pigs so they never ate raw garbage.
