get the 2500...the 1500 is too light duty and the rear coils are just flat out weak and so is the rear( I have a 1500 subsurban). Better- an Excursion- unless you can go the 2500 duramax route. My 2500 hd is 5x the truck my 1500 is, and so is my brothers deisel 460 powered excursion
