Back in the 60's I made adjustable wide front axels for both a VAC Case and a Farmall H. 3 inch pipe is a good fit in 3 1/2 pipe and 3 1/2 pipe is a good fit in 4" pipe. These are schedule 40 (common) water pipe. Slot 5 or 6 inches on each end of the larger pipe and draw together to clamp the inner pipe. I used tie rod ends and adjustable tie rods from the salvage yard. Most from stock on hand from junking cars I had done.
