On a Continental F162 motor that I recently picked up, I can sense at times a 'rattle' sound and at other times a small "squeal' sound both from the engine area. Is the rattle associated with oil problems and the squeal could be a belt problem? Are there any sounds that may preceed rod or bearing problems? What about burnt valves, or tappets, are there any sounds indicating these? Thanks
