My 1977 Ford 460,C6 Automatic plus a three speed Brownie behind it was traded off, it had 241,000 miles, Last time I saw the old truck it had 270,000 and was still on the road, never had the heads off of it. My next 460 was a 1983 model with a four speed stick and a 3.08 axle, I saw it recently and it has about 165,000 miles, still going very good.
