I think this was thought up by the Cable Companys to get the TV stations to go Ditigal concidering that they range the stations from 60 M to 700 or 800 meg. the upper channels would be line of sight like Celliar Phones . Here in WV with the hills even in the 400's you have trouble getting over 20 miles with anything less thwn 100 watts . Any thing above channel 20 would be impossible to get at a distance of 20 miles unless you were on top of a hill and had a direct line of sight to antenna. another reason is MONEY the GOVT. sells those FREQ.
