Not that simple. DOT set up sensors on I-80 to let you check your speed. When traffic is heavy, the sensors get overloaded and sent out crazy readings. It would flash "49" then "75" then"54" then any number, seemingly at random. DOT removed those units to a less traveled section of I-#%, where, if one car as near another, especially in the other lane, it would read as if the first car, then the second (slow) OR it would clock the more distant car, then the closest (fast). Finally took the unit down and it sat in a storage yard.You notice those speeding tickets don't count against your driving record? That's because they are BOGUS!
