Gene, I am not familiar with the japanese alternator but I have installed the Delco alternators on Bs with little trouble. I was able to use the old generator tightening bracket with only minor modification and the base bracket was used by cutting (sawing) off part of the Delco alternator base and I think on the side away from the pulley to where it fit the bracket. It has been some time since the modification and I am relying on memory for what I am posting tonight and should some of this appear confusing or if you have a question I will verify this tomorrow when I am at the farm where my tractor is stored.
