Sorry Rick Deere, I thought you were teasing Herbert by saying a jammed starter is normal for anything but a Deere tractor. After reading your post a bit more carefully, I realize you were just trying to make a helpfull suggestion about not re engaging the starter if the engine is still turning. Good advice and sorry for my mistake.
