just re-read your post... about the poor gas mileage... routinely got 23 mpg on the hiway with the explorer. saw an ad for the new volkswagen (can't recall the model, was a new release a couple years ago... a yuppie mobile) and briefly considered buying one for better mileage... til I found out it got a whopping 25 mpg hiway. no thanks, I'll keep my 4 bye.
