They can get stuck something awful. I had to fight the pump on my Case 580CK and almost broke the pump before I got it off.
The Cessna aluminum pump housing can have a reaction with the cast-iron saddle it sits in and get stuck. Disimilar metals and moisture causes that. Also, the splined shaft from the pump can get stuck in the drive-parts.
If all was clean with no corrosion, it would slip out by hand once the bolts were out. Now, you have to force it.
