When I was a youngster I helped a feller who run a jake leg saw-mill snake logs to the mill. In those days you set your mill up where you cut the logs. We used a old Ford tractor with tracks and large log horses. The tractor stayed stuck a lot and the horses had to continually stop and pull it out. When those old big horses hit the chain the tractor would pop out of the mud like a cork out of water. (^_^)
