Just because it had pretty good pressure when you unhooked the filter dosen't mean that it's enough to make it run. My 1993 Olds.Cutlass Ciera with a 3.3 3300 V6 was having spells were it would die ever so often . Kept getting worse, so my mechanic hooked up a fuel pressure guage and it read like 49 pounds but the book said that it had to have 50-80 per say. Put in a new fuel pump , cured the dieing problem . It hasn't done it anymore after that. You'd be suprised what a few pounds of fuel pressure can do to those computer controlled cars . My mechanic thought that it still had enough pressure to run , even though it was 1 pound below the minimum requirement at 49 pounds . This was on a 93 model so I can image how it would effect todays newer models
