tree farm got a question for you, maybe you can help me out. have a couple waterways on a couple of my farms that are subject to pretty heavy flooding. getting a lot of erosion along the banks and am for looking some ideas on trees to plant along the banks to hold back the erosion. in my timber stand there are oaks, walnut, honey locust and hawthorne, but the root structures arent holding the banks back. water scours under the roots and is toppling the trees into the waterways. been adding rip-rap stone, 8-12 inch to slow it down, but would like to get some fast growing deep root trees. tried willows but have problems with beaver taking the trees. any ideas??
