Cockshutt oil pressure

I have a 1947 Cockshutt 30 and am worried about the oil pressure. When cold, the oil pressure is about halfway in the "normal" range in the guage. When warm, it is just barely in the normal. This tractor sat for a few years. I changed oil and the old oil was very thick. I then put solvent in the crankcase and allowed it to soak for a couple hours. I renewed the oil, and started it. It didn't appear to help much. The guage is working. I remove the valve cover to see if oil is getting to the upper end, and it is. I recieved another rocker shaft with the tractor, and noticed the drip pipe on the extra shaft had been squeezed down. On the shaft that is in the tractor, there is no such restriction. Any ideas? ANY help is much appreciated.
