The general response is not to pull stumps/logs with a tractor. I have done it, although my tractor has a torque converter which will allow wheel spip...very dangerous though. The key in skidding is keeping the end of the log you're pulling from getting hung-up. If you can set-up to lift the end with the lower lift arms, you're in better shape that just dragging it. Be safe, be smart.
